Stage Light is a Boston, MA-based alt-pop/indie rock band crafting melody-forward songs built on clean vocals and emotionally grounded songwriting. Blending polished pop sensibility with indie rock roots, their sound moves between introspective moments and brighter, more upbeat tracks, with a subtle influence from classic ’60s-era songwriting.
The project is led by songwriter and guitarist Doug MacDonald, whose 25+ years of experience across multiple bands and solo work bring a seasoned perspective to Stage Light’s focused, modern direction.
Their 2026 release Stage Light introduces the band’s blend of alt-pop and indie rock. Stage Light is currently focused on building an audience and bringing its music to live venues throughout Boston and New England.
